Lotus gets enterprising again thanks to successful sale

The enterprising and creative minds behind ASC’s Lotus Enterprise are at it again, raising funds through a very successful sale.

Lotus, the enterprise arm of specialist care service ASC, held a sale at the head offices of parent company Balhousie Care Group and raised an impressive £94.50.

Lotus’s unique items are handmade on the site by service users and staff in a programme that not only provides valuable and meaningful activity but also encourages business learning at ASC’s Balbeggie campus. They range from wooden objects and jewellery to soap and baked goods. Lotus stands for ‘Love Our Talents Unique and Special’.

Anne Foulds, Activities Coordinator at ASC, said: “ASC Lotus Enterprise serves so many different purposes for our service users. They have had an input in everything from designing our logo to making foodstuffs, ornaments and jewellery. Lotus encompasses our spirit here at ASC of supporting service users to live as independent and fulfilling a life as possible. We love that they are learning business skills as well as practical ones.

“Many thanks to staff at Balhousie Care Group’s head office for supporting us once more.”
