Our green-fingered service users get busy at Westbank

In a corner of Westbank in Perth, our service users have been getting busy.

They are using the space at the community based project to grow plants, fruit and vegetables. The green space is providing an opportunity to learn about horticulture, and grow their gardening talents.

Among the projects they have been working on is filling these customised planters in the shape of the ASC name. The wooden planters were created by service users at ASC’s in-house carpentry workshop at ASC’s Balbeggie campus.

Westbank provides educational and employability related activities. Partially funded by the European Social Fund, it facilities courses in horticulture, joinery and land based industries and plans to expand to other trades and skills such as forklift machinery operation.
