Learning new skills at ASC Hut

The Hut at ASC is always a hive of activity – and service users have been getting busy giving old furniture a new lease of life.

Lee and Raymond, two of the service users at ASC, transformed an old dining room chair with help of Jen and Anne, Activities Coordinators, and Bob, from the service’s on-site workshop.

They restored the chair to working order, before painting it white and decorating it with a beautiful design featuring bees.

Lee and Raymond also put the off-cuts to good use by decorating them with other animals too.

Anne said: “Raymond and Lee had a great time upcycling their dining chair. It was fantastic to see how they worked together, and they did such a good job.

“They are already looking forward to getting stuck into their next big project in the workshop, and we can’t wait to see what they create next.”
