ASC Social Enterprise Lotus tree blossoms!

ASC’s service-user-led social enterprise, the LOTUS project (Loving Our Talents, Unique and Special) is growing new branches just in time for Spring!

We’re all looking forward to the springtime weather and with that warmth comes Mother’s Day and Easter – and Lotus can help you there. The new fruit of the project is a jewellery offshoot: upcycling old jewellery, making some boho style pendants – each unique – plus a selection of birthstone earrings too.

New skills include glass fusing using a microwave kiln and learning how to work with epoxy resin, as well as wooden scrabble tile keyrings.

The project started with creating and selling wooden gifts in 2019 and Anne – who grew up on a farm and loves cooking and baking – has developed a range of baking and preserves, sharing kitchen skills and family recipes. Most importantly, all activities offer full inclusion.

The new jewellery creations are adding into an already wide range of now regular items: candles, soaps and stunning bespoke wooden crafted items, from beautifully turned bowls to funky bug hotels!

And look at these beautiful handmade découpage jars! Our amazing service users have been busy bees!

So, your Mother’s Day and Easter gift quandaries are solved! Take a look at the selection below and you can get in touch directly to get yours on [email protected]
