ASC scoops top accolade at national awards

The team at ASC have been recognised on the national stage, winning a top award at a UK-wide ceremony.
ASC Sidlaw View Bungalows in Coupar Angus – part of Balhousie Care’s ASC Facility, based in Balbeggie, Perthshire – walked away from the Housing with Care Awards with the Supported Housing Innovation trophy, recognising the hard work and excellence of employees in residential social care.
Ahmad Kanzua and Elaine Monro were on hand at the glitzy ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel to pick up their award on behalf of the ASC team.
It wasn’t their only success on the night either, as the team were Highly Commended when it came to the Tenant Co-Production Award.
They were also finalists in the Housing Team (Independent) category, while Ahmad was a finalist in the Frontline Leader Award.
Ahmad Kanzua, Senior Support Worker at ASC Sidlaw View Bungalows, said: “We had an amazing time at the Housing with Care Awards, and it was an honour to fly the flag for ASC and Balhousie Care Group down in London. We were so excited when we were announced as the winners of the Supported Housing Innovation Award. The team at Sidlaw View are incredible, and I’m proud to be a part of it. This distinction has been, and always is, a real team effort.”

They work incredibly hard every single day to help our service users reach their full potential, and make a huge difference to their lives and the lives of their families. It is wonderful to see their dedication and the invaluable work they do being recognised.”
